PCR test for Passengers “Arriving” in the USA:

Update as of 6th December 2021: According to the Travel guidelines for the USA, all passengers must present a negative PCR test certificate regardless of vaccination status taken not more than 1 day. This does not mean that the PCR test requirements must be within 24 hours of your departure, but it means that passengers will be allowed to take the test at any time during the day before their flight departs.

The non-citizens and non-immigrants are required to show proof of being fully vaccinated against Covid-19 before boarding a flight to the United States from a foreign country.

  • If you are partially vaccinated against Covid-19, you will NOT be allowed to board a flight to the United States, unless you meet the criteria for an exception under the Proclamation and CDC’s Order. (Source)

Travel Updates:

As of 29th November 2021 – According to the Travel guidelines for the USA, Non-US citizens who have been physically present in South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique and Malawi in the past 14 days will be not allowed to enter the United States. (Source)

As of 8th November 2021 – According to the Travel guidelines for the USA, only US citizens, US nationals, US Lawful Permanent Residents, and Immigrants will be permitted to travel if unvaccinated. There are a limited number of exceptions where a non‑US citizen who is not fully vaccinated can travel to the US can be found here.

What are the Covid –19 travel guidelines in the USA?

Passenger Locator form: All passengers must sign an attestation before departure. Please ensure you download, print, complete and sign the attestation form before your check-in at the airport. Passengers who do not complete the attestation form will Not be allowed to travel.

Covid-19 Testing Requirements: All passengers regardless of vaccination status, must show a negative PCR test certificate taken not more than 1 day before travel to the United States.

Do children need to be tested? Children below 18 years are exempted from pre-departure testing.
