Travel Guidelines for Saudi Arabia
All Non‑Saudi nationals above 8 years must present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure to Saudi Arabia. Whereas Saudi nationals are not required to take any pre-departure test.
- Fully vaccinated Travellers are not required to isolate themselves.
- Partially vaccinated Travellers must undergo institutional quarantine for a period of 3 days. The quarantine will be lifted upon a negative PCR result on Day 3 after arrival.
- Unvaccinated Travellers must undergo institutional quarantine for 5 days. Whereas Unvaccinated Saudi citizens must undergo mandatory home quarantine for 5 days. The quarantine will be lifted upon a negative PCR result on Day 5 after arrival.
- Saudi nationals who have recovered from COVID‑19 can travel within 6 months of the date they were diagnosed and must update their status on the Tawakkala app.
* Travellers who are planning to travel to Saudi Arabia must have medical insurance that covers COVID‑19 treatment. This excludes citizens, residents, and GCC citizens. The insurance should cover the cost of treatment at hospitals, including institutional quarantine for a period of up to 14 days.
** Saudi nationals below 12 years must have a travel insurance policy approved by the Saudi Central Bank that covers treatment for Covid‑19.
