Travel Guidelines for Passengers “Arriving” in Malaysia:
All Travellers must present a negative PCR test result certificate taken 48 hours before your travel to Malaysia. Another PCR test will be taken on arrival for all travellers.
- Fully vaccinated Travellers who test negative on arrival do not have to undergo quarantine.
- Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated Travellers who test negative on arrival must undergo a 7‑day quarantine at an authorized facility.
The following rules apply for travellers who have been infected with Covid‑19 in the past:
- 10 days or less from the date of Covid‑19 infection: Not allowed to enter Malaysia.
- 11 days to 60 days from the date of Covid‑19 infection: Allowed to enter Malaysia according to the new COVID‑19 post‑infection procedures.
- More than 60 days from the date of Covid‑19 infection: Must present a negative COVID‑19 certificate following the existing entry procedures.
All Travellers must do the following pre‑departure procedures:
- Non-residents of Malaysia need to book with a MOTAC registered travel agent in Malaysia or through a foreign representative who uses the services of a Malaysian tour operator / travel agent that is registered and licensed with MOTAC.
- Free Independent Traveller (FIT) or Travellers who plan their own holidays will not be allowed.
- Travellers must have insurance worth USD 80,000 which covers Covid‑19 related and travel costs for the whole duration of their stay in Malaysia.

Required for: Pre-departure test, For Business Travel, For Medical, For MICE events or Group Bookings, For Training & Conferences.

Time for Test Result: within 24 hours
Required for: Post arrival test for Vaccinated and unvaccinated arrivals.
Includes free fit-to-fly travel certificate
RAPID ANTIGEN TEST
Time for Test Result: within 3 - 6 hours
Accepted for: Employment and Social gatherings
International Travel includes a free travel certificate

Covid-19 Testing Requirements: PCR test taken within 48 hours prior to departure.
Do children need to be tested? Children below 5 years are exempted from pre-departure testing.
